چکیده

Charge Transport in Organic Field-Effect Transistors In article number 2101701, Lukas Renn, Thomas Weitz, and co-workers develop organic transistor devices consisting of a monolayer-thin perylene-diimide n-type semiconductor on rectangular shaped h-BN flake. For some the semiconducting film is encapsulated between layers by stamping an additional flake top. transport measurements show signs interfacial trapping, despite trap-free substrate, suggesting contaminants are present.

Extrinsic and intrinsic charge trapping at the graphene/ferroelectric interface.

The interface between graphene and the ferroelectric superlattice PbTiO3/SrTiO3 (PTO/STO) is studied. Tuning the transition temperature through the PTO/STO volume fraction minimizes the adorbates at the graphene/ferroelectric interface, allowing robust ferroelectric hysteresis to be demonstrated. "Intrinsic" charge traps from the ferroelectric surface defects can adversely affect the graphene c...

Refraction at the Interface of a Lossy Metamaterial

The refraction phenomenon at the interface of an ordinary material and a lossy metamaterial has been investigated. For oblique incidence on the lossy metamaterial, the planes of constant amplitude of the refracted wave are parallel to the interface and the plane of constant phases make a real angle with the interface (real refraction angle). The real refraction angle and hence, the real refract...

Albumin-fatty acid interactions at monolayer interface

The fluid mosaic model of Singer and Nicolson in 1972 shows how proteins are embedded in membranes. To elucidate the interactions between proteins and the surrounding lipids, stearic acid (SA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were used as lipid-protein components to mimic the normal membrane bilayer environment using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique. Surface pressure (π)-molecular area (A) isother...

Charge transport at the metal-organic interface.

This review focuses on the impacts of metal-organic interfacial bonding interactions on the charge-transport dynamics involved in molecular junctions as well as organically capped nanoparticles. Whereas mercapto derivatives have been used extensively as the ligands of choice to functionalize metal and nanoparticle surfaces with the formation of metal-thiolate interfacial bonds, recent studies s...

Charge trapping at the low-k dielectric-silicon interface probed by the conductance and capacitance techniques

Trap states close to the interfaces in thin films of porous low-k dielectric materials are expected to affect interfacial barriers with contacts and consequently electrical leakage and reliability in these materials. These interfacial traps were investigated using capacitance and conductance measurements in metal/insulator/silicon capacitor structures composed of carbon-doped oxide low-k dielec...
